Reading   Instruction in reading, using intensive phonics, begins after learning to write and discriminate letters of the alphabet visually and auditorily.  The Sing, Spell, Read and Write Program is used which provides necessary drill set to music in a fun format.  Accuracy in decoding and comprehension is emphasized in reading program.

Creative Writing, Listening and Literature  Whole language approach to promote enjoyment and foster language arts skills.  Memorization of poetry.

Mathematics  The teachers use a problem-solving approach with manipulatives.  Various strands of mathematics are integrated into the program.

Arithmetic  numbers to 100, addition and subtraction facts to 10, counting by twos, fives and tens, one-to-one correspondence emphasized, numerical recognition and place value.
